We are having a certain tendency to foul language and even a little vulgarity in the anti-left and anti-feminist milieu, including by men who call themselves conservatives. Their idea is to popularize the ideas they share with a format that can give more visibility to the vehicle itself (blog, social network profile, YouTube channel). This is bad and I will explain why. I already say that it's not a matter of hypersensibility.
To begin with, what would you be SAYING with a bad word or a curse word? Would it be a reinforcement of some other word in the same sentence? The cultured language already has "clean" options: adverbs of intensity and hyperboles. Would it be a metaphor? How do you compare "shit" with a song or a public transport vehicle? If you've ever done this kind of thing and never thought about it, you never thought about what you were really saying, which gives a sign that you didn't actually say anything. The trivialized use of a "strong" word weakens the word itself.
Do you ACCOMPLISH not to use a vulgar word when you think of cursing? There is a possibility that you are not thinking of saying something objective. But there is also the possibility that you have a low mastery of the native language or a deficient vocabulary. Considering that you make human use of the language, you would have to develop in the domain of your native language. What if you inhabit in a place whose language is not the same of where you learned to speak? You tend to think in your native language. If the association of words with things in your mind is not done in your native language, it will be done in the language of where you inhabit. Oh, and there are words of one language that don't have a simple translation in another, and one of those words may seem better for you to express an idea even if you never left your country of origin. Some of these words are incorporated even without translation into the vocabulary of the other language, such as words from Latin in English language or from Arabic in Portuguese language. But there are no filthy terms without translation, because those terms refer to parts of the human body, they refer to things that come out of the human body, or they refer to, let us say, an international obscenity.
Can the excessive use of profanity and foul terms be understood as a psychological or even psychiatric imbalance? And in an exposition, as a lack of arguments and content? In large part, this "prejudice" is fair, as I have tried to demonstrate here.
Now, what is perhaps the main objection: how to approach an "ugly" subject without "ugly words"? In fact, for people who know how to express themselves, the problem doesn't even exist. Since the human species has a general experience with uncomfortable and unpleasant things, there is no language without "clean" words for these things. The association of "shit", "garbage" or "cum" with something has very limited applicability, limited to the sensitive (organoleptic) characteristics themselves of the objects to which these words correspond in their original literal sense. And when the association is used to describe something, for example, in Politics, it's an inadequacy that is irritating and counterproductive; unless it is, for example, to describe the dirt after a certain public event in a given city.
But it is exactly Abigail Pereira Aranha, this atheist whore who shares pornography, who will write about composure? Folks, just because I'm an atheist, I don't have to be dirty-mouthed. Especially because it's not attractive for kisses and blowjobs. Oops! I went to use a term that is a figure of speech and a joke of licentiousness came out. I used a descriptive term composed of two words that lead to a description of another thing, which inspired me to a sentence that describes a third thing. This third thing does not please some people, some of whom use foul words thoughtlessly. And I find on social networks, with some frequency, who says that I am the "fake" of some man. My answer has been "fake is my dick". What is false or fictitious is the penis that these people say I have. But some of these people understand that I confessed that I am a "fake" and I have a dick. Here, and in the case of the joke just before, a problem with the unrestrained use of foul words appears: the person sees another person using "ugly" words (not just foul words) and thinks that their use is equally hollow and unnecessary. Well, in fact, are two problems, the second includes the first: the automatic repulsion against the mere mention of whole subjects, among which the most common and notorious is heterosexuality. Hence, not all curse words conservatives curse me as an atheist or a bitch: most of them don't even read a simple comment on a social network that I write, due to lack of intellectual capacity.
It's not a prejudice seeing a movie or a book that uses scattered scenes of half-nakedness, nudity, sex and vulgar talks as a work with a poor storyline that needs to "appeal". Generally, the work itself confirms it. But something similar happened in the political-ideological discourse on both sides when they did the same thing. The left-wing seems like it was very concerned with attacking (traditional) Christianity and it got lost in the content of the revolution, so it did the Slut Walk and the LGBT Parade. Libertarians and conservatives are still trying to gain the space that the left-wing has lost, so they brought in some bloggers, vloggers and tweeters who make unrestrained use of vulgar terms to protest against the "politically correct".
