In the age of accessible internet, those who hate truth and greatness hide them more from themselves than from the people

I got a 30-day Facebook suspension because I shared that image, a Piper Perri scene with stripes in the nipples. It was a call for text "Notes on breasts and politics - part 4 of 5"[1]. The network made a bad image recognition and interpreted it as nudity. But it was not the first time. Almost a year ago, I got a one-week suspension for another image that also had no nipples on display[2].

I will start from my experience within Facebook for a general reflection. I will start with Facebook itself: it has 2 billion users[3], 2 accounts for each 2 or 3 decent world inhabitants. But that does not mean that Facebook dominated the internet, even being the most accessed thing. The internet began as a military network without a central in the 1960s and it still has this idea in the form we know today. If you can not post A, can not access B or, for one thing or another, you need admin permission, you are not on the internet, you are on a corporate intranet; or on a national intranet that some call the internet. Therefore, since the internet is decentralized, it will not be an extension of the television, of the traditional press or of the corporate intranets. And it will not be a concession from the socialist parties, from the far right parties or from the Christian churches to the general public. If Facebook tries to crack down on anti-leftism within the network, as it has done, the best thing that can happen is the network itself to become an international version of Brazilian Portal Vermelho (Red Portal) with some hundred million fewer users, who will have been gone to other networks. If the same Facebook tries to censor whatever is anti-conservative, it also will lose hundreds of millions of users and will become a virtual church, where no one who is not a closed-minded puritan will be interested in entering. In my case, whenever I was suspended on Facebook, I continued to be active on other networks (Google Plus and Twitter) and Portuguese blogs had at least 3 new posts. Therefore, if they tried to attack female nudity or the criticism against the far left when I was suspended (I've already been suspended for both cases), this had no effect.

If I were going to tell my adventures with my friends, photos and videos would be unpublishable. It could yield a series on XVideos, because on Facebook I would not last 6 months.

The leftist militancy strategy of occupying the mass media, the academic milieu, and the arts and entertainment sector of their countries went well until the popularization of the internet. Even when virtually everything that was seen and heard was produced by leftists, the struggle between the Left and the Conservatism was never people against the elite, it was, at best, of tacky elite against elegant elite, in which the tacky elite uses the name of the people. And the revolution was of the State and this elite over the people, although it was said in the opposite direction. Even the popular basis work, which seemed to be the other way round, was that. But if the real people have no means of written expression, it simply does not exist in what is written; and if it does not have access, including here alphabetization, to written materials, it can not be reached by those who produce or use them. In this, there is an illiterate country parallel to the country that is in the writings, and that, consequently, can only be described from outside, by alphabetizated persons. The Socialists had this in mind when they set up the public school. Decades later, social networks such as Twitter and Facebook have emerged, nowadays with hundreds of millions of users worldwide. And these networks only existed because of the popularization of the internet in several countries. Thus, what we can see there is an image of the real people, even if this image is unpleasant (which even leads people with a better mind in the real people to have no profile in them). If someone is on the left-wing with faith in the beautiful speech, this person has the hope and the activism that the community of users of a social network improves as a whole, but through that revolutionary force that Paulo Freire preached in "Pedagogia do Oprimido" (Pedagogy of the Oppressed), that revolution of mentality that only later will be apparent as a new socio-political structure. But if someone is in the left-wing in order to live off of misappropriated public money and unconfessed private money or even is just a militant with a normal job, this until himself or herself is a member of the new elite, will not prosper. The leftist militancy in social networks spent more than half the decade saying that whites are evil for blacks, that hetero Christians kill gays, that men discriminate against and practice violence against the women, etc; and it had the help of militancy in the traditional press, universities and show business. What did them accomplish? They lost in popularity to blacks, gays and women who made video-responses against left-wing movements; they made blockings and denunciations of profiles of persons of the real people who opposed them; and, in the end, they elected Jair Bolsonaro in Brazil and Donald Trump in the United States, this after assigning to these two crimes that confirm narratives in which only they believe[4] [5].

But producing writings and works of art with a false people and a false world was the general rule of the conservatives, too. The burnings of books among some small crowd of illiterates before the mid-twentieth century, some of them of copies of the Bible itself by Catholics, are even more illustrative images of the subject here, the war against whatever may be greater or better than the warrior. Besides books, they burned and stoned people too. People who had or seemed to have more intelligence, more literacy, more greatness of mind, more beauty and a less frustrated sexuality than them. But even before the nowadays internet, it became well-known that they burned themselves and they threw stones upwards.

But the conservative right-wing and the socialist movement have one thing in common: the anti-sex crusade. What it achieved, besides inspiring the so-called Sexual Revolution, was to make anyone whoever does not feel guilty about being heterosexual to move away from traditional Christian churches or, if is within, to have difficulty staying there. If the sex-is-rape left-wing was not much more significant than the sex-positive left-wing, we would already have the traditional Christian churches preaching against sex in the world out there for grandpas and grandmoms who never had decent sex in their lives, we would see cathedrals closing doors. Even with an anti-sex left-wing united with conservative Christians, the crusade against prostitution and pornography lasted circa half a century to end in a monumental vexation. It's no use to shoot a series of terrifying reports and data to convince heterosexual boys to sexually repress. No more convincing, it's over. We have the internet now, guys, you can not censor books or seize magazines and videos anymore. A teenager boy can get to know porn before you think it's time for him to know about sexuality. So, we can see someone saying that prostitutes and porn actresses are held in captivity under the influence of drugs, then we mention the name of Nina Hartley or Mia Khalifa, this one have no idea who she is. And where is the alarming rise in cases of rape and pedophilia that documentaries in the 1990s or 2000s said pornography would produce? What will the "truth about pornography" group do now with who refutes what they say? Are they going to block them on their own pages, on Twitter and Facebook, like they did with me?

Let's remember that in biblical times and centuries later, having sex with someone other than the spouse chosen by the parents was a case of imprisonment or death. That did not defeat the sex and barely made the marriage survive. Therefore, the campaign to criminalize prostitution and pornography (ie, heterosexual sex) will produce many unnecessary unpleasantries, but it is bound to fail. Conservatives and progressives, it's no use defending your ideas in newspaper articles, who does not have the same mentality of you either won't read or will tear you up in comments and social networks. Conservative ladies and gentlemen, you are not going to marry virgin your daughters. Conservative or left-wing feminist women, you will not get anything by saying that the man who seeks sex or pornography is immature or he demeans the women, nothing more than to farther apart men who are not ashamed of heterosexuality.

Even if people are dumb, the internet is where smart person within the people can say smart things without having to beg for deadpan spaces in traditional vehicles. The internet is also where sex can be discussed, exhibited and, hopefully, even achieved in the physical world without puritans and police to disrupt, arrest or destroy. And anyone who tries to use the internet as a private police state, as some companies do, will be more deluded by the feeling of power than actually disrupt the lives of others. In the world with popular internet, the left-wing that says that the life of the community is one thing when the internet shows another shows a certification of hysteria; and the left-wing that speaks on behalf of the people when the people prefer to listen to the opponents of the left-wing shows a certification of incompetence or falsehood. "For we can do nothing against the truth, but for the truth" (2 Cor. 13: 8).
