The truth about the pornographic industry, leftists and conservatives from sensationalism in pulpits and VHS tapes to blockings on social networks

Introduction

Especially in Brazil, but in general in the whole world, the general public, who thinks little, deepens in the habit of not thinking through surrounding itself what it believes without thinking. The very interest of a common person in knowing divergent ideas is seen, by the people close, as futility at best, adherence to the opposite idea at worst or danger of seduction in the most probable. Moreover if one has the simple possession of a book with divergent ideas (sometimes divergent from reader's own ideas) or is part of a political or religious community. Even when someone talks about opposing groups or a divergent idea, the source of information is, in general, the simple inversion of the self-description of the group itself. And the target audience is not the one who is talked about, to be converted or even attacked, but the same-thinking group itself, in order to have their vanity fed. This is how the left-wing speaks about the right-wing, the right-wing about the left-wing, the Christians about the atheists, the Catholics about the evangelicals, etc. This all is why, for example, few Christians other than clerics have an even superficial knowledge of Atheism, other religions or even the other branches of Christianity itself.

The antipornography and antiprostitution movement is just one more case of this, it has leftist feminists and Christian conservatives also as a sign that dogmatic stupidity and the pursuit for (pseudo)intellectually flattering farces exist on both sides. An example[01]:

The Pink Cross Foundation, an anti-porn organisation, which seems to use this analysis by Rev. Daniel R. Jennings as a reference, says:

...the average life expectancy of a porn performer is only 36.2 years whereas the average life expectancy of an American is 78.6 years.

Is this true?

It seems likely that the sources are biased, but I couldn't find any reputable sites saying otherwise.

This answer on Reddit, you will see that it is somewhat informal, but it is good and very well written[02]:

Is the life expectancy of porn actresses really 36 years old?

No. The claim seems to come from a blogpost that more closely resembles a Christian sermon than a science article. The average age at death of a probably not random sample of 129 dead pornographic actors and actresses was 36. This neglects to consider the fact that many pornographic actors and actresses are still alive. The author claims that this is an exhaustive list of pornographic actor/actress deaths, however there are at least 10000 porn stars in the world, making this claim unlikely. Most of the people on the list are in fact men, many of whom died of AIDS.

This Reddit topic includes a video from The Unwanted URL website, where, according to an article by Hypeness[03], you "find a video that shows you important facts about the role of women in the pornographic industry. (...) If someone is searching for Porn Tube porn site, for example, and enters only one wrong letter, he may stop at www.pornaube.com, one of the many urls purchased by the project. (...) By clicking the close button, the person is automatically directed to a search for the words 'the truth behind the porn industry' on Google. And it is not at all pleasant." Then the boy discovers that a porn actress dies on average at age 36 while he looks for a video with Stormy Daniels (today 40), with Jenna Jameson (today 45), with Diamond Jackson (today 52)[04] or with Lisa Ann (who left porn at age 42). Even if the project is more likely to be seen by other feminist men than by pornography fans, as well as, if seen by these, the shame of talking nonsense is the most likely outcome, this initiative of a lesbofeminist collective still seems a kind of contact with the real world and with men who do not think equal to this collective.

It is not argumentum ad hominem to say that all who treat prostitution and pornography as a police matter are women with a horrible sex life and a negative view of sex or men educated by or married to women like these, all of them wanting to literally prohibit the pleasure to all men in the country or the world. Hardly the militants against prostitution and pornography present fallacies worthy of a fulminating refutation in a normal debate. In general, they present anti-sex psychosis plus mitomanic semi-literacy plus, ironically, moral degeneration (they may be, for example, people who, a century ago, would find it fair to arrest or kill people because of sex outside or before marriage). It's the hour when you see the left-wing defending the good customs and the right-wing asking for more State. It has always been like that. What has changed with the current internet is the possibility of easier access to pornography, of easier encounter also between pornography fans (like my own with some of them) and of easier encounter... with the shame that the anti-sex militants pass.

And here I'll bring some encounters of these anti-sex militants with me. You will see that I do not try to go too far into refutations because, as I explained, they are not even bad debaters in a normal debate. My emphasis is to expose the antipornography militants in their folly, in their alienation, in their cowardice, and in their mental deficiency, besides I'll try to make you laugh a little. In the time of the old media, conservative Christians published VHS videotapes and books with slanders against the pornographic industry while, because they were also in local politics, they were able to destroy or censor books, magazines, LP's and VHS tapes considered indecent. They also performed puritanical sermons disguised as technical-scientific works or journalistic articles defending the criminalization of prostitution and pornography while they were silent about violence against female and male sex workers and they cursed research on venereal diseases. What did they accomplish, even in that epoch? The reputation of the one who can survive only by suffocating or avoiding contact with contrary ideas, churches that only grew with the children of the older members, when they grew up. With the popularization of the Internet, the greatest resource of lesbopuritan militancy against who knows and says the truth about pornography is censoring the truth... to themselves. "For we can do nothing against the truth, but for the truth" (2Co 13: 8). Hua, hua, hua, hua, hua!

A note about the text of the "culture of pedophilia"

The original text is "You've heard of rape culture, but have you heard of pedophile culture?" and is at www.feministcurrent.com/2015/09/28/youve-heard-of-rape-culture-but-have-you-heard-of-pedophile-culture. In the excerpt "the top Pornhub category is 'Teen'", the text has a shortcut to a text from the anti-pornography website Fight the New Drug. Incluso cuando alguien habla de grupos opuestos o de una idea divergente, la fuente de información es, en general, la simple inversión de la autodescripción del propio grupo. Y el público objetivo no es de quien se habla, para ser convertido o incluso atacado, sino el propio grupo de mismo pensamiento, para alimentar a su vanidad. Así es como habla la izquierda sobre la derecha, la derecha sobre la izquierda, los cristianos sobre los ateos, los católicos sobre los evangélicos, etc. Es por todo eso que, por ejemplo, pocos cristianos aparte de los clérigos tienen un conocimiento incluso superficial del Ateísmo, de otras religiones o incluso de las otras ramas del Cristianismo mismo.

El movimiento antipornografía y antiprostitución es solo un caso más de esto, tiene feministas de izquierda y cristianos conservadores también como un signo de que la estupidez dogmática y la búsqueda de farsas (pseudo)intelectualmente halagadoras existen en ambos lados. Un ejemplo[01]:

La Fundación Pink Cross, una organización anti-porno, que parece utilizar este análisis del Reverendo Daniel R. Jennings como referencia, dice que:

... la expectativa de vida promedio de un actor porno es de solo 36,2 años, mientras que la expectativa de vida promedio de un estadounidense es de 78,6 años.

¿Es esto cierto?

Parece probable que las fuentes estén sesgadas, pero no pude encontrar ningún sitio de buena reputación que diga lo contrario.

Esta respuesta en Reddit, verás que es algo informal, pero es buena y muy bien escrita[02]:

Luego, el niño descubre que una actriz porno muere en promedio a los 36 años mientras busca un video con Stormy Daniels (hoy con 40), con Jenna Jameson (hoy con 45), con Diamond Jackson (hoy con 52)[04] o con Lisa Ann (quien dejó el porno a los 42 años). Incluso si el proyecto es más probable que lo vean otros homens feministas que fanáticos de la pornografía, así como, si estos lo ven, la vergüenza de decir tonterías es el resultado más probable, esta iniciativa de un colectivo lesbofeminista todavía parece una especie de contacto con el mundo real y con los hombres que no piensan igual a este colectivo.

No es un argumento ad hominem decir que todos los que tratan la prostitución y la pornografía como un asunto policial son mujeres con una vida sexual horrible y con una visión negativa del sexo o hombres educados por o casados con mujeres como estas, todos ellos deseando literalmente prohibir el placer a todos los hombres en el país o en el mundo. Apenas los militantes contra la prostitución y la pornografía presentan falacias dignas de una refutación fulminante en un debate normal. En general, ellos presentan psicosis en contra del sexo más semi-alfabetización mitómica y, irónicamente, degeneración moral (ellos pueden ser, por ejemplo, personas que, hace un siglo, encontrarían justo arrestar o matar a personas por razones de sexo fuera o antes del matrimonio). Es la hora en que se ve a la izquierda defendiendo las buenas costumbres y la derecha pidiendo más Estado. Siempre ha sido así. Lo que ha cambiado con el internet actual es la posibilidad de un acceso más fácil a la pornografía, de un encuentro más fácil también entre los fanáticos de la pornografía (como el mío mismo con algunos de ellos) y de un encuentro más fácil... con la vergüenza que pasan los militantes anti-sexo.
